Food & Wine Pairings: Chili-Brined Ham

If your family insists on doing the traditional Christmas ham, you can at least update it a bit to keep things interesting. Here’s one idea. [level-members]

This is a nice update that’s not too far afield for the traditionalists at your table. And we think Food & Wine’s pairing suggestion is an excellent direction to go:

Though this might seem like a red-wine dish, this ham tastes great with a full-bodied white, such as Chenin Blanc, which often has a slight edge of sweetness that makes it a good match for lightly spicy foods.
