A few recent news articles that didn’t make the weekly cut but are still worth a read. [level-members]

In France we have a bit of hewing to tradition mixed with perhaps a bit of xenophobia as hands are being wrung over the possibility of great estates being renamed by new buyers.

Direct-to-Consumer wine shipping goes up … and it goes down … Depending on which headlines you read. The overall trend is certainly up, but there are issues still to be ironed out in at least some states.

Regardless of your take on the recent tax bill overall, there are potential benefits to folks in the distillery, winery, and brewery biz. We haven’t been able to track down any confirmation of what survived the last-minute horse trading, though. See also this article on excise tax cuts.
