Wine Shop Marketing via Video

July 5th, 2017

If you’re not using video as part of your marketing campaign, you’re missing an opportunity to connect with a wider audience to connect more deeply with the audience you have. [level-member]

Just drop any thoughts you have of “going viral.” Chance are it’s not going to happen. And even if it did, what would that gain you?

Your goal should be to establish and strength a personality for your shop while providing useful information to your audience.

That personality can be serious, fun, quirky, weird, whatever works for you and your market. The information you provide should be easily digestible. To put it another way, don’t make one video when 5 videos will do.

That means, that short and sweet is part of a successful formula. Just about any topic you might cover could be broken down into smaller component parts. As odd as it sounds, someone is more likely to watch ten :30 second clips than they are to watch on 5:00 video.

Do a search on YouTube for a topic that interests you to see the vast range of material available. Everything from guitar reviews to trailer hitch installation videos are out there. And most are done with a very modest level of production values.

So you don’t need to break the bank. Some thoughtful planning and a little time perfecting your approach are all it takes to yield positive results. [/level-members]
