Food & Wine’s Beaujolais Guide and Noteworthy New Wine Regions

April 25th, 2013

What They’re Reading – Food & Wine Magazine, May 2013

Here’s what your customers are reading in this month’s Food & Wine.

The Tasting Room column has an overview of Beaujolais that F&W feels are huge values: underpriced for the quality delivered. (Though they admit that they’re small-production wines, so perhaps difficult to find.)

There’s also a piece on 5 up-and-coming wine regions that your more adventurous customers may be seeking out. The regions range from Lake County, CA to Swartland, South Africa, with a few South American regions thrown in. Some appear to still be values while others are priced to underut more established neighboring regions without necessarily being inexpensive.

And there’s a piece on the fun and flavors of New Orleans focusing on one chef’s take on oysters and gumbo.
