Club W on Facebook
Not surprisingly given my web surfing habits, but Club W has targeted me on Facebook as a potential customer. It’s an interesting looking home page with plenty of social proof – “As seen on Today, Tech Crunch, The New York Times, etc.” – but it also comes across as more than a little promotional and sale-y. The 6-step taste profile survey is interesting, as well. And I’m sure it’s incredibly accurate … Have a look. It’s the kind of site that is meant to appeal to those folks cited above – new to wine and eager to learn. Most bottles seem to be priced around $13.
