Food & Wine Pairings: Pizza

Sure, it’s easy to say that nothing goes better with pizza than cheap Italian wine – or just forget wine altogether and have a beer – but it’s a lot more fun if you get more creative. [level-members]

And when it’s been a tough week and all you can manage on a Friday night is pizza on the couch in front of the TV, a little creativity is in order.

Paying attention to the details is what matters here. Not to overthink it, but a lightly sauced Margherita pizza is a whole different ballgame compared to, say, pepperoni and sausage with extra cheese.

One of the best discussions we’ve seen is from the good folks at Serious Eats, though we’re not going to consider a clean white as they suggest. (You should be more open-minded …)
