As the wine industry has grown in northern California there’s been a progression, of course, from the small time to the big time. Not everyone thinks the progress has been great, as this article in the Napa Valley Register makes clear.
Better news comes from New Zealand. Well, better if you’re a winemaker in New Zealand: The US has surpassed Australia as New Zealand’s top export market for wine. I’d be interested to hear whether you’re stocking more wines from New Zealand than you have in the past, and whether that’s being driven by consumer demand or your distributors.
