This recent article on travel through Italy and the relatively popularity of Prosecco is an excellent opportunity to was poetic about the wine and the country. And of course, you don’t have to do it all yourself. Many great resources exist for wine-related travel in Italy. (And elsewhere, of course.) A quick search will lead you to publications with guides worth sharing as well as travel firms specializing in wine travel (and another and another) and even in specific wine regions or countries. And of course, there are the obligatory review sites, as with anything else.

If you’ve traveled yourself, nothign replaces first-hand knowledge when relating recommendations and can’t-miss attractions. And if you haven’t traveled, what better excuse do you need?!
