Food & Wine Pairing: Chenin Blanc

April 7th, 2017

Before we get to the summer rosé craze and everyone wearing flip-flops, we’ve got springtime before the blooms. And this is a good time, in my book, for Chenin Blanc. [level-members]

Chenin Blanc is an underrated wine for pairing with food. It’s acidity and sweetness make it a great match for things with a bit of sweetness to them or even a sweet and sour element. (Though I’d steer clear of anything labeled “sweet and sour” from most local Asian take-away joints just on principle.)

Here are a few recipe ideas you might share with your shop customers and social media friends, fans, and followers.

Chicken Curry with Potatoes and Squash

Shrimp Masala

And from Wine Enthusiast we have a range of recipes depending on the style of Chenin Blanc you’re selling.
