Wine Stories Worth Sharing – July 13, 2017

July 13th, 2017

Is 2017 your best wine year ever? It could be. Especially if you break open a wall in your house to find a decades-old wine cellar. And if you live to be 100. We also have stories of wine going not to the dogs, but to the cats – and birds. [level-members]

We’re a bit past the half-way point and time to assess how’s your 2017 wine year going? Are you making 2017 your best wine year ever?

She’s not a doctor – she doesn’t even play one on TV – but I’m inclined to take this wise woman’s word as gospel. She is 100 years old, after all.

The only thing I’ve ever found when breaking down walls is leaky pipes (which I was looking for) and evidence of little furry tenants. (Which I most certainly was not looking for.) I did not find an incredible trove of 100-year-old wine. I wonder if that wise woman stored these and forgot they were there …

Wine for cats. Because that money isn’t going to part itself from fools on its own.

Birds against birds. Where’s Hitchcock when you need him. In our case, it’s birds against birds in the vineyard, to protect the fruit.
