You may not be able to define it, but you know it when you see it. We’re talking about terroir, of course, and now you may be able to see it in a test tube. Also, more coverage on the possibility that growth in the wine biz is slowing, an early bud break in Napa Valley, and to start, Pinot in New Zealand.[level-members]

New Zealand Pinot, which hardly seems “new” to me, is bringing it – and getting the attention that had been reserved for Sauvignon Blanc.

Out in California, warm dry winter means that bud break is happening earlier than usual in Napa Valley.

Is wine growth slowing? Another take on the Silicon Valley Bank report suggesting that’s the case.
