Wine Shop Marketing Tips: Educate or Entertain Your Customers

If you can’t educate your clients, at least entertain ‘em. That’s the only way to consistently get any audience’s attention. Yes, you can sell – sometimes. But too much promo and too little info of value to them leads to an unengaged audience. [level-members]

In fact, here’s the kind of funny you can find quickly and easily with a Google or Bing search for “wine cartoons” or “wine humor” or something similar.

Now, we’re not usually huge fans of pages like this Buzzfeed page on reasons to drink wine (where we found the image above) – all hyperventilating hyperbole with headlines like “26 reasons for this” and “You’ll never believe what celebrity X does to her hair …” – but they can be good for a quick laugh, particularly with some wry commentary attached.

This can be a great way to keep your social media streams active, too, without a huge investment of time or energy writing copy or taking photos. Kind of like this post. (Wink, wink …)
