Food & Wine Pairings for Fall

October 17th, 2014

It’s fall right? Has hardly seemed so in some parts of the country where these beautifully colored leaves SHOULD mean lower temps. Let’s just hope we do get a real autumn and don’t go straight from Indian Summer right to freezing winter winds.

Whatever weather we get, here are a few suggestions for the fall season, even if it’s only a state of mind where you are right now. [level-members]

These combinations are from Snooth. They include specific bottle recommendations that we try to avoid – you should pick bottles from your own stock with similar taste profiles.

10 Wines for Fall Foods

Our favorite of the 5 recipes included, each with a red and a white to accompany, is the Autumn Vegetable Ragout with Soft Polenta. Snooth pairs this with a Blaufrankisch, which is one of our favorite food-friendly wines.

And they’re a nice way to offer your customers something that is a little different and that will work well with most of the fall bounty they might find at the local farmer’s market.
