Food & Wine Pairings: Pork Tenderloin

September 18th, 2015

Grilled pork tenderloin is a summer (and winter) grilling staple around here. Depending on how you prepare it and what you server along side it, you’ve got a lot of wine options. Here are a few. [level-members]

First, there’s the citrus route. This recipe for tenderloin with an apricot salad means that a big Chardonnay can be a great accompaniment.

Another route is to keep things simple and traditional with, say, a basic rub, a green salad, and roasted potatoes. A zinfandel is one of my favorite choices for a meal like that.

You can play around with your own herb and spice combinations. Depending on the direction you go, a pinot noir can be an excellent choice, as well.
