Food & Wine Pairings: Chicken Pot Pie

Fall is really here in the northeast, with temperatures dropping from our unseasonably warm, extended Indian Summer. So the time is right to talk about some comfort food: chicken pot pie. [level-members]

AllRecipes has this very nice chicken pot pie recipe, though there are plenty of others out there and in print.

And while many will recommend white wines to go with this classic chicken dish – Grüner Veltliner can be a great choice, as can cleaner, crisper Chardonnays – we prefer red. (We always prefer red.) In this case, something a bit on the fruity side is a good choice, and Grenache or Garnacha are some of our favorites.
